My friend, Cindy Griffy, posted a meme on Facebook that declared TODAY is the date for National Drink Coffee Day.
Really the date was January 1st through December 31st.
So, according to Cindy (and lots of others) EVERY DAY is Drink Coffee Day.
I like that; in fact I’m enjoying a cup of coffee right now as I sit here at my computer.
Today, October 11, is also:
Bullying Prevention Day (Second Wednesday in October)
Emergency Nurses Day (Wednesday of Emergency Nurses Week)
General Casimir Pulaski Memorial Day
International Day for Natural Disaster Reduction (Second Wednesday of October)
International Day of the Girl Child
International Top Spinning Day (Second Wednesday in October)
Kimberly Day

National Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work & School Day (Second Wednesday in October)
National Coming Out Day
National Food Truck Day
National Fossil Day (Wednesday of Earth Science Week)
National It’s My Party Day

Stop America’s Violence Everywhere (SAVE) Today (Second Wednesday in October)
“You Go Girl” Day
And October 11 is also Eleanor Roosevelt’s birthday.
For you Winnie the Pooh fans: “What day is it?” asked Pooh.
“It’s today,” squeaked Piglet. “My favorite day,” said Pooh.”
Whatever you might celebrate today, whether it’s coffee or nurses, spinning tops or food trucks, remember TODAY is a Day like no other.
It’s not just like Yesterday, and it won’t be just like Tomorrow.
You haven’t lived this one before, so make the most of TODAY.
Tell someone that you love, “Every day I get to spend with you is my favorite day!” (That’s another Poohism!)
Our old friend, Dr. Seuss wrote, “Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!”
So celebrate YOU today! This is Your day…all day long.
Enjoy Today!
Enjoy Your Day!
Live it to the fullest!
Live it the best that you can, with whoever you can, however your can. Just know you can!
But the most important thing to remember about TODAY….
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let’s rejoice and be glad in it!” (Psalm 118:24)
