The Town and Country Garden Club met on February 21st at Riverbend Country Club. The monthly program was presented by Shane Hooper, President/CEO Shelbyville Bedford Partnership. He gave the group an informative update on Economic and Workforce Development.
Club members had prepared cups of flowers for residents of The Waters of Shelbyville which is a long term care and rehabilitation facility. Gabriela Trejo, Activities Director accepted the flowers on behalf of the facility.
The plant specimen of the month was the Lenten rose. Blue ribbon winner was Sara Wood and red ribbon went to Naomi Luna. The “what have you” monthly plant specimen ribbons awarded were Blue – Becky Nichols and Red – Sara Wo
