STAFF REPORT
A recent incident transpired in Wartrace in which a train made impact with a vehicle on Sunday night, Feb. 22.
According to a statement released by Fire Chief Robert Dye of the Wartrace Fire Department, the incident occurred at approximately 11:42 p.m.
The report claimed that one person was inside of the vehicle and was later found deceased when the vehicle was discovered approximately a mile away in front of the train after a search using UTV’s.
Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) and CSX are currently investigating more on the situation, however no additional details have been released.
No vehicle description or name has been released for the privacy and respect of the individual and the family.
