FAYETTEVILLE — Kyler Trice’s game-high 22 points wasn’t enough for the Golden Eagles as Lincoln County survived with nine made 3-pointers in the 65-54 win over Shelbyville.
Trice was red-hot from the perimeter, connecting on five of the Eagles’ seven treys.
He spurred on a 20-point third quarter with three of his triples.
Lincoln County led 13-10 after the first period, but took control of the game with a 25-point second quarter to lead 38-25 at the half.
Shelbyville rallied on a 20-14 run in the third quarter, but couldn’t finish the game as the Falcons closed the game with 13 points in the fourth.
Maddox Franklin led three Falcons in double figures with 16 points, while Trice was the lone Eagle to hit double digits.
