Victoria Lynn Robbins

Funeral services for Victoria Lynn Robbins, age 77, of Shelbyville, were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023, in the chapel of Doak -Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Deaton officiating. Burial followed in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Robbins passed from this life Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at her residence.

Visitation was from 2 – 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Robbins was born on December 31, 1945 in Cambridge, England, to the late William Stone Wiseman and Peggy Teresa Bedford Wiseman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Women’s Club of Shelbyville, and the Garden Club. She was a 1964 graduate of SCHS and attended college at MTSU and TTU.

She was a wonderful Mom to her children, and great wife to her husband of 33 years. She was affectionately known as Mimi to her family and friends. She was a large part of her Grandkids lives and nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with them. She and Danny attended a lot of events they were in growing up. She loved every minute of being their greatest cheerleader.

She was very family oriented and loved hosting family gatherings, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas with all her family.

She and Danny loved to travel and go to yard sales and collect antiques. Also, they enjoyed going to many SEC basketball games and tournaments. Mimi was an avid collector of Barbies and had a large collection of salt & pepper shakers. She loved flowers, working puzzles, watching game shows, and crossword puzzles.

Vicki worked at many jobs: Calsonic, the SSHBEA, and the State Capitol in Nashville for six years, and retired with the Shelbyville Parks & Recreation Center.

Survivors include Mrs. Robbins husband of 33 years: Daniel Joe Robbins; children: Kelly (Troy) Deaton of Lynchburg, Tenn., Jason (Ronda) Hayes of Hazel Green, Ala., Christie (Mickey) Meridith of Paris, Tenn., and Rick Robbins of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren: Stephen (Taylor) Deaton, Shelby (Owen) Piatt, Riley Hayes, AJ Carroll; and nephew: Richie Fitzpatrick of Nashville; great-grandchildren: Jade and Ethan Deaton, and Dani and Nora Piatt. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Wiseman Fitzpatrick.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial donations in Victoria’s honor be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. (501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
