COALMONT — After falling to Forrest earlier this week, it was back in the win column in a big way for the Community Viqueens on Thursday night, dominating Grundy County 12-0.
Alana Tate kept her hot bat going by homering in her third-straight game.
A nine-run second inning was more than enough for the Viqueens, highlighted by triples from Gracie Daniel and Taylar Wessner, and Tate’s solo dinger.
Community drove in three more runs in the top of the fourth to reach the run-rule limit.
Haylee Webb, Brookelyn Yoes and Wessner each drove in two runs in the win.
In the circle, Gracie Daniel toed the rubber and tossed a one-hit gem with eight strikeouts to her credit.
