UNIONVILLE — Having fallen to Eagleville in a 1-0 loss earlier in the week, the Community Viqueens were plenty fired up in Game 2 of the series on Friday night and absolutely hammered the Lady Eagles 14-4 to even the score.
Alana Tate was the offensive juggernaut for the Purple and Gold, going 3-for-3 with a three-run bomb and five RBIs, while Annie Prince went 2-for-3 with four RBIs to her credit, including a three-run shot of her own in the first inning.
Community jumped on Eagleville in the first and never let off the throttle, plating six runs in the bottom of the first.
The Viqueens tacked on four in the second and finished the game, scoring two in each of the fourth and fifth innings.
In total, Community hammered out four extra base hits, with Gracie Daniel going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles.
Anna Haskins and Taylar Wessner also doubled.
Wessner got the win in the pitcher’s circle and gave up just four runs, only two of which were earned, on seven hits while striking out three batters.
