Viqueens Explode Early In 15-0 Rout Of Fayetteville City

The Community Viqueens wasted no time taking control Wednesday, erupting early in a 15-0 road win over Fayetteville City in a game shortened to three innings.
Community struck for five runs in the first inning and then broke the game open with a nine-run second, piling up 12 hits while holding Fayetteville City hitless.
Hayden Moore led the offensive charge, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, a single and three RBIs. Moore was especially dangerous in the second inning, delivering a bases-clearing double as the Viqueens turned the game into a rout.
Community’s big second inning featured contributions up and down the lineup. Lexi Smith drove in two runs with a single, Annie Prince brought home a run on a fielder’s choice, Aliana Leverette drew a bases-loaded walk, Moore cleared the bases with her double and Victoria Wells capped the inning with an RBI single.
The Viqueens had already built momentum in the first. Moore opened the scoring with an RBI double, Kenzie Tucker followed with an RBI triple, and additional runs came home on a groundout by Lexi Smith, an RBI single from Arleigh Smith and a walk by Leverette.
Community added its final run in the third on another groundout by Lexi Smith to push the lead to 15-0.
Ryleigh Lassiter earned the win after tossing a scoreless first inning. Tucker worked the final two innings to complete the combined no-hitter.
