Wendell Knox Prince, 89, of Shelbyville died September 2, 2023. Graveside Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 8, at Coleman Cemetery with Vickie Thomas officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home prior to service.
He was born September 30, 1933 in Shelbyville; a retired employee of the Tennessee Department of State Printing Department and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He loved gardening and animals, especially his dog “Bailey.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis Lee Prince and Alta Flora Todd Prince and his brother, Orion Prince.
He is survived by his sister, Jewell Woodlee of Brentwood; his friend, Delois Hurt of Shelbyville and several nieces and nephews.
