Williams shuts out Warren Co. for Eagles 2nd straight district win

McMINNVILLE — Carston Williams pitched a one-hit shutout to land Shelbyville Central its second-straight win, beating Warren County 4-0 in a make up game on Wednesday evening.
Williams went seven shutout innings, allowing just one hit and one walk, while striking out six.
The Eagles jumped on the Pioneers with a run scored in the top of the first by Stephen Bobo on a wild pitch.
With a 1-0 lead, Williams proceeded to sit down nine batters in a row until a hit batter in the bottom of the fourth gave the Pioneers their second base runner of the game.
The Eagles played add on in the top of the fourth when an error at first base scored Palmer Edwards.
Bobo added a second run in the fourth on a RBI single to left before a bases-loaded walk scored Nick Hopper for the final run of the game.
Williams went 1-for-3 with a double, while Kyler Trice was 2-for-4.
This weekend, the Eagles step out of district play and will travel to Soddy Daisy to take part in the Trojan Classic.
