Woody Dean Powell, 79, of Jackson, Tenn., died April 28, 2024. Graveside Services will be held 12 p.m. Friday, May 3rd, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Shawn Bain officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home prior to service.
She was born September 20, 1944, in Shelbyville. She was raised in the Wheel Community and started her life in Christ at Bedford County Church of Christ. She later married the love of her life, Wendell “Rabbit” M. Powell, and was a minister’s wife for 48 years.
Woody was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell M. Powell; her parents, Arthur M. and Bertha M. Atnip Adcock; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Christopher M. (Andrea D.) Powell, Timothy S. (Shanah K.) Powell and Beverly D. (R. Dale) Evans.
