The Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles continued their hot start to begin the season going 4-0 on the week with wins over Tipton Christian Academy, Community, Forrest and Marshall County to run their record to 7-1.

Kaleb Maillet tossed a no-hitter and struck out 12 Tuesday as Shelbyville Central rolled to a 10-0 victory over Tipton Christian Academy.
Maillet worked all six innings, allowing no runs and no hits while walking four in a dominant performance on the mound.
The Golden Eagles backed him with a strong offensive showing, finishing with 13 hits. Stephen Bobo led the way at the plate, going 3-for-4. He tripled in the first inning and added singles in the fourth and fifth. Miles McCullough drove in three runs, while Case Davis and Brody Thomas each added two hits.
Shelbyville Central scored its first run in the opening inning on a groundout by McCullough.
The Eagles added two more runs in the third when Davis singled to center and Blake Bone reached on a fielder’s choice, with each play bringing home a run.
Shelbyville Central kept the pressure on the rest of the way, scoring in five different innings to finish off the run-rule win.

Shelbyville Central- 9, Forrest- 6
Blake Bone turned in a perfect day at the plate and delivered the go-ahead hit as Shelbyville pulled away late to defeat Forrest 9–6 on Thursday.
Bone went 3-for-3 and drove in two runs, including a key two-run single in the fifth inning that gave the Eagles a 6–5 lead they would not relinquish.
Shelbyville struck first in the opening inning when Case Davis singled to bring home a run.
Forrest answered in the third, capitalizing on an error and a hit-by-pitch to take a 3–1 lead.
The Eagles responded in the bottom half of the third, tying the game behind another RBI single from Davis and a run-scoring groundout by Chase Billig.
Forrest regained the advantage in the fourth on an RBI single by Travis Porter, but Shelbyville answered again in the fifth. Bone’s clutch hit highlighted a three-run inning that put the Eagles in front for good.
Shelbyville Central added insurance down the stretch to secure the win.
Elijah Westbrooks earned the victory in relief, allowing just one unearned run over three innings while striking out three. Bone closed the door to pick up the save. Starter Brody Thomas struck out five over 3⅔ innings.
At the plate, Shelbyville Central totaled 12 hits. Davis and Bone each drove in two runs, while Ashton Whorley added a pair of hits. Shelbyville

Miles McCullough went 3-for-5 and helped lead Shelbyville to a 9-2 victory over Marshall County on Friday.
McCullough sparked the Golden Eagles offense with three hits, including a double, while also driving in two runs. Case Davis also had a strong night at the plate, finishing with two RBIs as Shelbyville collected 12 hits in the win.
The Eagles wasted no time getting started. Shelbyville Central scored twice in the bottom of the first inning when Davis drove in two runs on a groundout.
The Eagles added another run in the second on Davis’ RBI single to center field, then pushed the lead to 4-2 in the third when Blake Bone drew a bases-loaded walk. Shelbyville Central continued to build separation from there, using timely hitting and aggressive baserunning to stay in control the rest of the way.
On the mound, Ashton Whorley turned in a strong start for the Eagles. The left-hander worked six innings, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out nine and walking three. Chase Billig closed things out with a scoreless inning in relief, allowing two hits and striking out one.
Shelbyville Central will return to action Monday at home, opening district play against Warren County. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
